Overview
At 3.726 m, Mt. Rinjani is the second highest Volcanic peak in Indonesia and is a part of celebrate "Ring of Fire". 
Forested slopes rising directly from the sea create their own weather pattern and act is the main water-catchments for the island of Lombok. 
Gunung Rinjani National Park lies within a major bio-geographical transition zone (Wallace), with the flora and fauna between South East Asia and Australia.
